Korean White Tea

Korean White Tea - $50

White Tea Leaves_edited.jpg

The most delicate of all tea, only sun dried and crafted entirely from tender spring buds, high in the remote mountains of Jirisan. Picked for only five days of the year, just as the buds unfurl to the first new leaves.

Our tea is classified as semi-wild as the tea plants have self seeded from the original tea plants grown 1200 years ago. They grow within the Jirisan National Park, amongst the bamboo forests and the pure water of the Sumjim River. Because of the steep hillsides the entire picking process is done by hand with meticulous care.

Picked in the early spring before the first rains over a five day period. The White Tea is the taste of spring, the early green tips of the year.

Exceptionally pure and natural, this Korean white tea undergoes  no processing, just sun dried, retaining higher levels of antioxidants than other teas.

This is not a mass produced tea from a large industrial gardens but lovingly crafted and you can taste the difference.

If you have tried Chinese or Japanese white tea, then Korean white tea will impress you.  We highly recommend.
