Busan, the second-largest city in South Korea, is known for its stunning coastline, bustling cityscape, and scenic natural attractions. One of the city's hidden gems is the Ahopsan Forest, a lush green forest located in the heart of Busan. But what makes the Ahopsan Forest even more special is its use in numerous Korean dramas. Fans of Korean dramas may recognize the forest from popular shows such as "Descendants of the Sun" and "Goblin", which have featured scenes filmed in the forest.

Located on the eastern side of the city, the Ahopsan Forest covers an area of approximately 1.7 square kilometers and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including oak, chestnut, and maple trees, as well as squirrels, rabbits, and pheasants. To explore the forest, visitors can start at the Ahopsan Station and take the Ahopsan Forest Trail, a well-maintained hiking trail that winds through the forest and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and cityscape. The trail is approximately 3.5 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours to complete.

Along the trail, visitors can stop at various rest areas and observation decks to take in the scenery and snap photos. One of the highlights of the trail is the Ahopsan Suspension Bridge, a 45-meter-long bridge that spans a deep valley and offers breathtaking views of the forest and surrounding mountains. For those who prefer a more leisurely stroll, the forest also has several walking paths and picnic areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The forest is particularly beautiful in the fall, when the leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow.

While the Ahopsan Forest is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, it is also a popular filming location for Korean dramas. The forest's tranquil atmosphere and picturesque scenery make it the perfect backdrop for romantic scenes and emotional moments.

Overall, the Ahopsan Forest is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Busan, whether you're a fan of Korean dramas or not. With its stunning scenery, well-maintained hiking trails, and a range of activities, it offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and a chance to reconnect with nature.
